After spending eight years in the oil and gas industry, Clay and his wife, Carena, returned from Midland to their hometown of Fredericksburg. Today, Clay is the proud owner and Broker of the Real Estate Advisory Team, where he is dedicated to serving his clients with unwavering integrity, loyalty, and professionalism.
Raised in Fredericksburg, Clay spent much of his childhood on his family’s ranch in Comfort, cultivating a deep appreciation for the land and heritage of the Texas Hill Country. His family built multiple homes throughout Gillespie County, giving Clay hands-on experience in development and construction from an early age.
A 2007 graduate of Fredericksburg High School, Clay went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Energy Management from The University of Tulsa in 2012. While at Tulsa, he was a four-year letterman with the school’s football program—an experience that shaped his strong work ethic, discipline, and team-oriented mindset, qualities he brings to his work every day.
Clay married his high school sweetheart, Carena Barsch, who now serves the community as a Nurse Practitioner at Kerrville Pediatrics. Together, they are raising their two children and are grateful to be part of the Fredericksburg community. In his free time, Clay enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending quality time with family.
